0.5mm leads shatter on impact
One knock off the drafting table and a fine lead crumbles inside the sleeve. A 2.0mm core shrugs off drops, pocket carry and a carpenter's job site alike.
The Drawvity method is the 2.0mm mechanical pencil that drafters, sketch artists and woodworkers actually keep in their roll: an aviation-aluminum body and a sliding magnetic ring that advances, retracts and tunes your lead — tip-sharp, pocket-safe, and nearly impossible to break.
If you draw for a living — or for the love of it — you have felt all three of these.

Click-to-advance means fixed lengths in fixed steps. A sliding magnetic ring lets you dial line exposure millimeter by millimeter — then retract the lead to protect it.
Wood shavings, stubby pencils, inconsistent points. A dedicated mini lead pointer cones the graphite itself in two twists — no wood, no mess, repeatable point.
The whole mechanism is a magnetic ring riding an internal collet. It takes five seconds to learn and a session to love.
Back off the front collar a quarter turn. The internal jaws open and your 2.0mm core floats free of any grip.
Glide the ring up or down — it raises and lowers the collet, so you set lead exposure to the exact millimeter your line weight needs.
Clock the collar back down to lock your setting. Retract the lead flush before pocketing, and it survives anything in your bag.
Balanced at 17.2 grams, the aluminum barrel settles into a drafting grip like a favorite #2 pencil — except the ring on the nose is doing something no wood pencil ever could: letting you change line exposure mid-sketch, without looking down.
Line-weight control for elevations and sections — a vintage drafting tool rebuilt with a mechanism your grandfather never had.
2B graphite lays down broad tonal washes or a needle point. Shade with the side, detail with the cone.
Rugged enough for the job site, precise enough for marking joinery. No snapping when it hits the floor.
A desk toy that draws. The levitating ring is catnip for thinking hands in meetings.
"After 40 years of drafting I thought I owned every pencil worth owning. The magnetic feature actually works great, and the ring never gets in the way."Todd S.Professional draughtsman · verified buyer
"My brother the carpenter told me the lead doesn't snap at all — with a 2mm core it's practically impossible to break. I use it for art now."Julie F.Sketch artist · verified buyer
"I retract the lead before throwing it in my pocket. Survives everything — no other pencil I own does that."FloriField engineer · verified buyer
